Our Story

Hey! We’re Town Pride State College—the very first Town Pride franchise in the U.S., tucked right into downtown. I’m Lisa Farren, a State College resident with nearly two decades experience in retail. I opened this shop with a simple goal: create a warm, modern place where locals, students, families, and visitors can find pieces that feel like home.

State College already has so many great stores. We’re here to add to that mix—celebrating our town, Penn State, and the people who make Happy Valley special.

How We Got Here

We have partnered with Town Pride (born in Yarmouth, Maine), and when they expanded from wholesale into franchising, we knew State College was the perfect match. We’re honored to be Franchise No. 1!

• Community, Always: We love this town. You’ll see us leaning into give-back efforts and everyday gestures that keep State College strong. Wholesale purchases of our children’s knits also help support efforts to end childhood food insecurity in the U.S.

Penn State and State College have grown up side by side for more than 150 years. That shared story is part of everything we do; from the designs we carry to the way we welcome people from every state and all over the world. Want something truly yours? Our custom knitwear program makes it easy for teams, clubs, departments, and families to create sweaters, scarves, totes, pillows, and throws—with a minimum of just 12 pieces. Bring your idea; we’ll help make it real.

Made in the USA

You’ll find a curated mix of apparel, gifts, and home goods that reflect the State College spirit and support American makers. Look for that “Made in USA” note. It’s our way of putting pride and purpose into every purchase.

Sustainability & Community Impact

We’re building a store that does some good while doing what we love. From eco-minded choices to local partnerships and national causes, our aim is simple: leave things better than we found them.
